About Darin Rich
Seventeen years selling homes. Twenty before that funding them.
Darin Rich came to real estate the long way, through two decades on the lending side. It is the reason his clients across Montgomery County keep sending him their friends.

THE SHORT VERSION
He learned the deal from the inside out.
Darin Rich has spent more than 17 years helping people buy and sell across Montgomery County, working out of the RE/MAX Realty Group Crown office in Gaithersburg. First-time buyers, move-up sellers, downsizers, investors: he has guided all of them, and most of his business still arrives the way it always has, by referral.
Before real estate, he spent nearly 20 years as a mortgage loan officer. That is not a footnote. It is the reason his clients win. He knows what a lender will actually approve, where an appraisal can come up short, and how to structure an offer that holds together when the financing gets tested.
What people remember is how he talks to them. Straight about price. Straight about timing. Honest enough to tell you when not to buy, or which renovation to skip. His goal was never to close a deal and move on. It was to be the agent you call for the next one, and the one after that.
"I would rather lose a sale than your trust. The trust is what builds a career."

Years in lending first
A career built in two halves.
Two decades in lending
Nearly 20 years as a mortgage loan officer, learning the financing side of every transaction long before he ever held a listing. Loan structure, underwriting, appraisals: the parts most agents never see.
Into real estate
More than 17 years ago he brought that lending expertise to RE/MAX, out of the Realty Group Crown office in Gaithersburg, and started representing buyers and sellers across Montgomery County.
350 closings and counting
$150 million in sales and RE/MAX's highest career honors later, he still works the same way he started: one relationship at a time, most of them sending the next client his way.
Four things clients can count on.
The financing edge
Twenty years writing loans means he sees the problems in a deal before they cost you the house.
Straight talk
Honest reads on price, timing, and value. He will tell you the thing you need to hear, not the easy one.
Detail and follow-through
Inspections, appraisals, contingencies, deadlines. He manages the parts that quietly sink deals.
Relationships over transactions
The measure of his work is whether you call him again, and whether you send your friends.
Full-service, not a single niche.
First-time buyers
Patient guidance through financing and the search, so the biggest purchase of your life does not feel like a gamble.
Move-up sellers
Sell and buy in one coordinated move, with the timing and financing handled by someone who has run it 350 times.
Downsizers
A calm, organized transition to the next chapter, with honest advice on what to keep, fix, or let go.
Investors
A lender's read on the numbers and the financing structure behind every deal you are weighing.
